What does "atelier" mean?

The word "atelier" denotes an artist's workshop or studio. Atelier Winery began as a workshop where we could be creative with winemaking. Atelier's purpose is to craft fine wines through small lot production and traditional technique. Focusing on wines of greatcharacter, our emphasis is on the production of Zinfandel and Syrah from classic terroirs.
